NEEHA Membership Benefits and Services:

Educational Programs.  Guest speakers at NEEHA meetings cover topics ranging from management issues and security to social services, health, and well-being. These programs provide an opportunity for professional growth and development as well as for program ideas and information.
NEEHA offers special workshops and subgroups address the needs of social workers and maintenance staff who work in senior housing facilities.
Advocacy Updates.  Membership in NEEHA ensures a reliable connection to the latest information about federal and state housing policy and legislation about federal and state housing policy and legislation affecting facilities and residents.
Members hold meetings regularly with representatives of HUD, MHFA, local home care corporations, and the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOFA). NEEHA representatives are included in the planning and development of new initiatives offered by these agencies.
Leadership Opportunities.  Members are invited to participate in committees, and officers rotate regularly to encourage involvement with planning and directing programs.
Support.  With a diverse membership responsible for more than 10,000 units of elderly housing in the region, NEEHA provides a network for information, services, ideas, and support. NEEHA members offer peer support in dealing with elderly housing issues.
Bimonthly Newsletter.  The newsletter presents timely legislative news, information on community resources and in-depth reports on new programs.
Bimonthly Meetings.  Meetings are held at member facilities. This provides an opportunity to observe diverse types of communities in action. Meetings have both programmatic and regulatory components.
Membership Directory.  The annually updated directory offers a complete listing of members, including designated representatives of residential facilities and housing authorities, management companies, and sponsors. It serves as an invaluable tool for the exchange of ideas and information among members.
