NEEHA Membership Benefits and Services:

Educational Programs.
Guest speakers at NEEHA meetings cover topics ranging from management
issues and security to social services, health, and well-being. These
programs provide an opportunity for professional growth and development
as well as for program ideas and information.

NEEHA offers special workshops and subgroups address the needs of social
workers and maintenance staff who work in senior housing facilities.

Advocacy Updates.
Membership in NEEHA ensures a reliable connection to the latest information
about federal and state housing policy and legislation about federal
and state housing policy and legislation affecting facilities and residents.

Members hold meetings regularly with representatives of HUD, MHFA, local home
care corporations, and the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOFA).
NEEHA representatives are included in the planning and development of new
initiatives offered by these agencies.

Members are invited to participate in committees, and officers rotate
regularly to encourage involvement with planning and directing programs.

With a diverse membership responsible for more than 10,000 units of elderly
housing in the region, NEEHA provides a network for information, services,
ideas, and support. NEEHA members offer peer support in dealing with elderly
housing issues.

The newsletter presents timely legislative news, information on
community resources and in-depth reports on new programs.

Bimonthly Meetings.
Meetings are held at member facilities. This provides an opportunity
to observe diverse types of communities in action. Meetings have both
programmatic and regulatory components.

The annually updated directory offers a complete listing of members,
including designated representatives of residential facilities
and housing authorities, management companies, and sponsors.
It serves as an invaluable tool for the exchange of ideas and
information among members.
